A simple rotation keeps one familiar surface available while the other is being washed and dried.
Choose the busiest surface
Start with the place that collects the most dampness, crumbs, hair, or outdoor dirt.
Label the two roles
One textile is in use; one is clean and fully dry. Swap them on a predictable day or immediately after a spill.
Wash gently
Shake off loose debris, fasten any straps, and follow the care line on the product page. Avoid overloading the machine so quilted layers can move freely.
Dry all the way through
Moisture can remain in bound edges and padded centers. Return the textile only when every layer feels dry.
Inspect during every swap
Check seams, corners, backing, straps, and loops. Retire a textile if chewing, tearing, or exposed filling appears.
